Epson showcased its latest innovations in digital label printing and packaging proofing technologies with a major presence at Labelexpo 2011. Demonstrating solutions for the production of high-value product labelling, Epson’s advanced technologies combined with its high quality inks and media were on display in Hall 9 at the Brussels Expo from 28 September to 1 October 2011.
In its label production area of the stand, the highlight was on Epson’s industrial digital label press – the SurePress L-4033A - featuring the EskoArtwork digital front end and printing high-value labels on a variety of textured substrates for luxury items such as wine, cosmetics and chocolates. Finished labels were produced using a GM DC330 Mini converting line. With installations across Europe, the Surepress L-4033A has impressed converters with its versatility and specialist substrate printing capability.
Epson also gave practical demonstrations of its large format print technologies: packaging proofing capabilities, highlighting the benefits of Epson’s white ink in the latest Stylus Pro WT7900 inkjet printer, were demonstrated by partners such as EFI, GMG, CGS, ESKO and Isi Graphics Systems; and creative production printing and cutting techniques were demonstrated by Spandex using the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000.
In its desktop labelling solutions area Epson demonstrated a range of desktop label printers offering fast, high quality, on-demand colour labels suitable for the healthcare, manufacturing and retail markets. On show for the first time were Epson’s LabelWorks range. Addressing both mobile and desktop labelling needs, the range offers models that are ideal for office labelling; mobile labelling in almost any environment; and fast, high-quality desktop label creation via a PC or Mac.
