Interprint Expo 2012 to be held in collaboration with Delhi Printers’ Association

Offset Printers’ Association is organizing the InterPrint Expo 2012 in collaboration with Delhi Printers’ Association on 14, 15 & 16 September, 2012.  InterPrint is not a routine trade fair for the printing and packaging industry, but the show is being organized with a difference. There is something for each and every printer of the country.  Giving the requirements of the event, Mr. Kamal Chopra, General Secretary OPA said, that after the tremendous success of PrintArt 2010 at Ludhiana it was the demand of the exhibitors to organize the exhibition in a big way. Considering the necessity of the printers and demand of the manufacturing industry, it was decided to organize the next show at New Delhi in the name and style of ‘InterPrint Expo’ and in collaboration with the DPA – the Asia’s largest printers’ association, he said.

The show is being organized just after DRUPA so that the Indian printers, who missed DRUPA, can know and understand the latest developments of the trade. During all the exhibition days, a ‘Knowledge Centre’ will be working where industry experts and ‘Print Pundits’ will guide the printers about what to buy, where to buy  etc. taking into consideration his volume, location, size and finance available. Not only this, on the spot financing and knowledge about export potentials, latest technology especially the things to come will also be available free of cost at the knowledge centre. This type of Knowledge Centre is being created for the first time in any print trade-fair in India. Speaking on the concept of knowledge centre, Mr. Arun Berry, Delhi Printers’ Association said, “We are asking the printers to submit their requirements and problems online at (http://www.interprintexpo.com/knowledge_centre.php). These will be forwarded to the concerned industry expert and such experts will be present during InterPrint Expo to guide and solve the problems of the printers”. Besides there will be regular seminars and lectures on all the three days about the things to come at the knowledge centre.

For the benefit of the printers, a Used Printing Machinery Forum’ (UPMF) is being organized, again for the first time ever in India. Under this forum, a printer not only can get the knowledge about the availability of the pre-owned machinery, but, can also offer his used equipment for sale.  There are no charges for participating in this forum, but it is necessary to submit your requirements online at (http://www.interprintexpo.com/upmf.php). Giving details of the concept of UPMF, Mr. Kamal Chopra said that, in India more than 84 per cent printers use pre-owned equipment and as per the recent survey of the PrintWeek 57.6% printers in India are interested  in  investing in the used equipment in the next 12 months. Looking at this trend, UPMF is being organized during InterPrint Expo 2012, he said. Mr. Chopra further added that the data of printers interested to purchase/exchange the pre-owned machinery is being collected and we are inviting the used printing equipment dealers across the globe to offer and bid for such machinery.

The timings of the InterPrint Expo is coinciding with the two most important and major events of the year being organized at New Delhi, Mr. Vinod Rajpal Chairman of InterPrint Expo said. The International Conference on ‘Future of Print’ is being organized by the Delhi Printers’ Association on 15th of September where top international print leaders have been invited to share their views and to educate the Indian printers about the future trends of the printing and packaging industry and how to increase their export potentials. The conference is going to be a milestone for the printing and packing industry of India to be at the top of BRIC countries to secure maximum outsourced jobs from the west and other countries. This international conference is being organized by the Delhi Printers' Association and is likely to be supported by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, he said.
