UPM Raflatac has launched Polyjet WFPP, a pressure sensitive film labelstock for the Americas market, aimed at variable information printing (VIP) applications. Totally waterfast, Polyjet WFPP is said to combine the visual aesthetics and performance of a prime film product with the printing versatility of a VIP labelstock. Polyjet WFPP is therefore suited to applications such as health and beauty, food and beverage, wine and pharmaceutical labeling
Labelstock converters have long stocked multiple products to meet their clients’ business and technical requirements. With Polyjet WFPP, says UPM Raflatac, they can now consolidate product lines, using this one film ‘to fulfill the needs of a range of industry applications’.
Polyjet WFPP dries instantly after inks are applied, enabling printers to increase throughput without fear of damaging labels. It prints on demand with desktop printers and narrow web digital presses in both roll and sheet-fed formats, making it suitable for time-sensitive short and medium-sized runs.
