BST International GmbH, leading manufacturer of quality assurance systems for the web processing industry, introduces on drupa (Hall 10, D41) the “QCenter” a new product line for web viewing, 100%-inspection, and spectral color measurement.
During the show, BST shall unveil a trendsetting innovations and proven quality assurance systems- QCenter and QCenter Spectral two developments that will set new standards in the production quality control on web printing. QCenter is the central control for quality assurance: Based on newly developed software BST integrates various functions on one platform. By that BST creates an intelligent, modular managing tool for the comprehensive monitoring of the production tasks.
“Customers expect appropriate functions for their daily quality assurance tasks and do not want to deal with selecting different systems. With QCenter we offer the solution to that“, comments BST-CEO Percy Dengler.
The innovative approach of the QCenter-concept is the integration of hard- and software-components on one operator interface, the Graphic User Interface (GUI). This GUI picks up the already known control principle of smartphones and tablet-PCs and therefore is an intuitive tool for the operator. The touchscreen supports gesture control and moreover offers central access to functions such as zooming, selecting fields of view, overview of the entire web width, and other quality assurance tasks.
QCenter is modular: Cameras, image analysis functions, additional lighting, and other options can be integrated, if needed, and are always operated by the central user interface. The producer gets a complete 1:1 overview of the whole web width in real time with the integrated high-resolution line scan camera modules –on request also on a large Quad HDTV monitor wall.

The Inline Spectral Measurement System, QCenter.Spectral provides the solution for the ever growing need of the industry to obtain both reliable inline and offline data on specified colors over the entire print production. Due to the close development partnership between BST and X-Rite the results of inline measurement and measurement with stationary handhelds are comparable for the first time. This will set a new industrial standard for color quality control and workflow simplification.
