After a successful summit last year, the Finat
Young Managers Club (YMC) is holding its first ever Global YMC Congress, open
to both YMC members and non-members, at Westin Hotel in Berlin, Germany on
28-30 November 2012.
The Young Managers - Truly International!
One of the most notable recent FINAT
innovations has been the establishment of the Young Managers Club for industry
managers under-40. Meanwhile the club has expanded significantly on its initial
focus of succession planning within the many industry SMEs. "Since its
origin in 2009, FINAT’s YMC has run several successful meetings and workshops
from which the idea to organize a first global congress was born,"
says Francesc Egea, of IPE Innovaciones
Para Etiquetajes, Spain and chairman of YMC. "Meanwhile we are pleased to
see the progress we have made in our global approach by collaborating with our
colleagues from LMAI in India, TLMI in US and VskE in Germany - the hosting
association/country of this very first edition."
“To date we have attracted 63 members from
across the globe. They represent a mix of managers from local family run
businesses, but also middle- and higher-level managers from larger label
converters and suppliers alike. As in our industry in general, we have
predominantly male members, hence I'd like to launch a call particularly to all
female professionals to join and strengthen our YMC," says Dana Kilarska
of, Purgina, Slovakia, board member and treasurer of YMC.
Outlines of the YMC Global Congress
Under the umbrella “Young Managers, let's
challenge the future”, the congress provides both international networking
opportunities and the opportunity to share experiences and obtain knowledge
from industry experts all over the world. The congress brings workshops and presentations
on a broad variety of topics.
The YMC Board is comprised of: Chairman
Francesc Egea, IPE-Innovaciones (Spain), Vice Chairman Nicola Motetta,
Euroadhesiv (Italy), Treasurer Dana Kilarska, Purgina (Slovakia), PR/Membership
Recruitment responsible Bibiana Rodriguez, Rotatek (Spain) and Programme Managers
Peter Dhondt, CERM (Belgium) and Pawandeep Sahni, Weldon Celloplast (India).
