A worldwide, well-known and high-quality brand of UV flexo
and offset press solutions for label and packaging printers, MPS today
announced the sale of an EXL-offset press with 8 colour UV print stations and a
web width of 430mm to Austrian label printer Ulrich Etiketten. The EXL-offset
press will expand their production of self-adhesive, booklet and other
specialty labels and marks the 7th MPS press for Ulrich Etiketten, joining six
installed MPS flexo presses.
Ulrich Etiketten, a fifth-generation family business since
1868, is an Austrian market leader and highly reputable throughout Europe for
the production of self-adhesive labels. The company selected the MPS EXL-offset
press based on innovative technology, attractive price point, and reliability
with the successful performance of their existing six MPS EF flexo presses. The
EXL-offset press built with variable sleeves combines six offset print with two
flexo print stations, and will be equipped with various converting units such
as multi-lamination and de-lam/re-lam for the printing of booklet labels.
M.A. Florian Ulrich, CEO of Ulrich Etiketten comments: “We
are very happy with MPS. The quality of MPS presses and our long-term
relationship led to our decision to once again opt for an MPS press.”
Eric Hoendervangers, co-founder of MPS comments: “We see it
as a great compliment that a quality-oriented Austrian company such as Ulrich
Etiketten has opted for our EXL-offset press. MPS has a very high rate of
repeat customer sales, however when a loyal MPS flexo customer adds a first MPS
offset press to its machine park, it confirms that our technology, service, and
printing knowledge helps label printers in their success. In general, we have noticed
a growing interest at an international level for our EXL-offset presses since
its initial launch at Labelexpo Europe 2011.”
Ulrich Etiketten produces high quality product packaging for
all industries in an impressive production area of 13,000 m2 using state-of-the-art
