In line with the strategy to groom promising SMEs, the India
SME Forum, a not for profit initiative was formed to propel the SME movement,
by nurturing entrepreneurship and support innovative, globally competitive,
SMEs in India. With a mission to foster development of a flourishing
entrepreneurial culture and a competitive SMEs sector to support economic
development, every year Top 100 SMEs are chosen and awarded. The Top 100 SMEs are
selected through a rigorous process on the basis of both financial and
non-financial indicators. Out of the 63,819 nominations received this year, SMI
Coated Products Pvt. Ltd. and Kohli Industries made to the list of winners.
SMI Coated Products Pvt. Ltd. has grown in sync with the

a strict Quality Management System (ISO 9001-2008), their machines are
successfully running all over India and nearly 50% of their sales are exported to
Italy, England, Turkey, Mexico, Canada, Russia, Ukraine, Sri Lanka and many
other countries. In 2009, the company signed a technical agreement with Uteco
S.p.a, Italy to manufacture printing presses having the latest European design
and technology.
