EFI recognizes quality and innovation in first-ever Jetrion label contest

During a special reception at the Labelexpo Americas trade show, EFI announced winners in its first label printing contest for EFI Jetrion inkjet narrow web press users. Four companies have been recognized in EFI’s first-ever Jetrion Label Awards contest, a competition that recognizes the highest-quality and most innovative print uses for EFI Jetrion presses, the leading narrow-web inkjet technology in the global label converting industry.

Nixa, Mo.-based Ample Industries won the 2014 Label of the Year award for a beverage label printed with process colors plus white ink on silver material. Honorable mention in the category went to Canadian company Factor Forms & Labels in Edmonton, Alberta.

GSI Technologies in Burr Ridge, Ill., won the 2014 Most Innovative Application of the Year award for a heat-resistant blanket warming oven decal printed CMYK plus white on film with laser cut outs. Repacorp Inc., a label converter headquartered near Dayton, Ohio, won honorable mention in the category.

“We have seen such outstanding and innovative work from our Jetrion customers that we decided a contest to recognize them in two categories was in order,” said Stephen Emery, vice president of EFI's Jetrion and ink businesses. “The contest participants certainly did not disappoint, and it was hard to come to a final decision. We look forward to making this an annual event.”

The winning entries are on display in EFI’s booth, #6423, at Labelexpo Americas.
