At Graph Expo 14 (Chicago,
September 28-October 1), Highcon will be continuing its collaboration with
Xeikon to present the results of a completely digital workflow, from prepress
through printing to digital finishing, on the Highcon Euclid. Following a successful
first time appearance at the Xeikon Café in May of this year, Highcon will be
digitally cutting and creasing folding carton packages printed on the Xeikon
3500 digital press.
Visitors to the show will be able
to see the printing of folding carton boxes on the Xeikon booth (#841). These
printed samples will then be finished on the Highcon booth (#1262) by the
Highcon Euclid.
According to Eitan Varon,
Executive VP, Highcon, “Xeikon and Highcon solutions focus on the importance of
digital technology throughout the production process. We firmly believe that
this collaboration will benefit printers who want to enter the packaging market
and enable converters to cope with shorter runs. We welcome visitors to the
show to see the fruits of our collaboration with Xeikon.”
Filip Weymans, Director of
Marketing and Business Development, Labels and Packaging at Xeikon said, “Our
Folding Carton Suite includes different components that are built around a
Xeikon 3000 Series press to form turn-key solutions for producing short run
folding carton jobs. Highcon is an important partner for our Folding Carton
Suite as their equipment is unique in its ability to create digital creases.
Visitors at Graph Expo will be impressed to see a full-fledged digital
production solution for folding carton packages.”
