Furthering its commitment to bring
new innovations to package printing, Kodak rounded out Labelexpo 2014 by
highlighting customer successes and a new collaborative effort with Packz
Software. At the largest label show in the Americas, Sept. 9-11 in Rosemont,
Illinois, Kodak presented the latest advances in its packaging portfolio
including live demonstrations of the recently released Kodak Prinergy Workflow
6.1, explanations of how Kodak Stream Inkjet Technology is changing the
landscape for high volume package customization, and the latest enhancements to
the award-winning and industry leading Kodak Flexcel NX System.
Customers including G3
Enterprises and Label Print America were highlighted in the Kodak booth along
with other global customers who openly shared their individual experiences with
the Flexcel NX System, and the various business benefits they have been able to
achieve since implementing Kodak’s technologies:
“To this day there are jobs that
I would absolutely refuse to take if we did not have Kodak plates,” said James
Stone, Technical Business Development Manager, G3 Enterprises, Inc. “We get
outstanding results with no need for complex file manipulation. You just can’t
say the same for the other technologies.”
“Kodak Flexcel NX Plates have
given us the ability to serve our customers with consistent quality
improvements, at a consistent price,” said Tony Yemma, President, Labelprint
America. “Our business is about customer retention and is built around
long-standing customer relationships, high quality and value. Kodak’s technology
has allowed us to innovate, grow our customer base and continue to deliver
value-added services.”
Packz Software also joined Kodak
onsite to discuss the addition of Packz Professional PDF Editor to Kodak’s
packaging workflow customers, enabling them to take advantage of more powerful
tools and interactive editing. In addition to customer successes and newly
announced offerings, attendees who stopped by Kodak’s booth had the opportunity
to speak with several Kodak representatives, who provided additional
information regarding Kodak’s continued commitment to packaging in areas that
include offset, digital print solutions, functional printing, and security
solutions for label and package printing.
“Label Expo was an excellent
platform for showing attendees how our packaging solutions can help increase
efficiencies and further automate digital capabilities,” said Dr. John
Anderson, Kodak’s Sales and Marketing Packaging Manager for the U.S. &
Canada Region. “The flexographic printing market is a dynamic one and is primed
for major growth – Labelexpo 2014 was a great stage for us to communicate the
value of not only the core Kodak Flexcel Systems and Plate offerings, but also
our broader package printing portfolio including unified workflow, offset,
digital and imprinting solutions.”
