UPM Raflatac EMEIA has launched a
next-generation logistics labelstock which answers industry demand for a more
productive, competitive and sustainable solution. The new Vellum Logistics Fit
product draws on the latest material advances to combine substantial business
benefits with precision-engineered performance.
The thin Vellum Logistics Fit
label face has been matched with a leaner HG45 release liner as a move away
from the traditional HG65. This provides more labels per same-diameter roll and
the potential to upgrade to longer rolls. The result is fewer roll changes in
label conversion and dispensing operations, for a marked increase in
productivity.
The label face and liner retain
good strength for reliable conversion, and label end-users will be satisfied
with a well-defined thermal transfer print result for reliable scanning. The
reduction in material usage also adds value for major label end-users seeking
to achieve their sustainability targets.
Engineered for business and sustainability needs
With the RH 6 adhesive, the
benefits of the new labelstock are accessible across a wide range of shipping
and logistics labelling applications. RH 6 performs well in conditions from
chilled to room temperature, on substrates including cardboard and stretch
film.
“The products in our
next-generation ‘Fit’ range introduce more productive, competitive and
environmentally responsible solutions in their intended applications,” explains
Jon Lenck, Director, Business Segment VIP at UPM Raflatac EMEIA.
“Vellum Logistics Fit is
engineered using the latest material and technological developments to be
precisely fit for purpose. Label printers and end-users in logistics and
shipping can look forward to a balance of performance and efficiency optimized
for today’s business and sustainability needs.”
