Color-Logic file format supported by CGS

The Color-Logic file format necessary to print the widely used Process Metallic Color System is now supported by CGS 3D visualization software.  Brand managers and their designers using the CGS system can see the dramatic Color-Logic special effects and metallic colors on their monitors and can visualize package prototypes and other materials as they will appear on the finished product.

Discussing the collaboration, Color-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing Mark Geeves said: "The power of the CGS IC3D Suite visualization software can be seen at http://ow.ly/Ek6tz, showing a direct mail envelope designed using the Color-Logic software.  Time to market is a huge issue for brands and the combination of the Color-Logic system and the IC3D Suite speeds up design time by reducing the production of 3D mockups and prototyping."

Staying competitive in today's fast-paced packaging world is tough.  Brands need to set themselves apart, and being able to take a product package from concept to shelf as quickly and smoothly as possible is vital to staying relevant and profitable.  IC3D Suite is the world's first 3D real-time packaging simulation and design application to combine multiple packaging disciplines in one product-revolutionizing package creation, reducing the time spent on 3D mockups and prototypes by at least half.   For more information on the CGS system, go to www.cgsusa.com.

Developed for brand managers, product managers, corporations and advertising agencies, the Process Metallic Color System gives licensees the ability to differentiate themselves and their clients from the competition by simplifying the design and print production process and implementing eye-catching decorative effects into their branded products and associated collateral. The Color-Logic system is compatible with offset, inkjet, flexography, digital presses, screen printing, and gravure processes. It is ideal for packaging, pouches, direct mail, point-of-purchase material, signage, postcards, literature, booklets, labels, shrink sleeves, calendars and much more.

Color-Logic develops color communication systems and software tool sets for a variety of special effect printing applications. Color-Logic provides brand owners, product managers, corporations, and their advertising agencies the ability to differentiate themselves and their clients with a simple print production process that yields dramatic results. Color-Logic decorative effects utilize the existing workflows of printers and designers, yielding dynamic results without the use of special equipment.
