Aleyant, an innovative leader in providing robust
software services to the graphic communications industry at value-driven
prices, today reported that TechNova Imaging Systems is now reselling the
Aleyant suite of cloud-based software solutions to the printing market in
India. TechNova is one of the world’s leading suppliers of total imaging
solutions for the graphic communications industry and has the most deeply
entrenched distribution network in the Indian Graphic Arts industry for global
alliances. Since 1971, TechNova has introduced several new breakthrough
technologies that have transformed imaging processes in various industries.
With the agreement to resell the Aleyant suite of solutions, TechNova will now
be making web-to-print and automated production workflow more accessible to Indian
printing companies and their customers.
“The time is right to accelerate web-to-print
adoption in India,” explained Swarnangka Samaddar, Chief Marketing Officer at
TechNova. “Last year, a new telecom company entered the Indian market,
drastically changing the landscape with reduced data rates and better
connectivity, making web-to-print more attractive here. We examined several
options to enable us to be able to offer web-to-print solutions to our
customers, and we found Aleyant to be the most robust offering in the market.
Not only is Aleyant Pressero™ an outstanding and affordable web-to-print
solution, but it also can be used as a vendor management tool.”
Samaddar also points out that implementing
web-to-print in an operation with an inefficient back-end workflow can be
disastrous. “If your web-to-print offering is a success,” he states, “you will
receive a larger volume of orders, and many of those orders are often smaller.
You really have to think through how a job flows through your shop and make it
as efficient and automated as possible. By also offering Aleyant solutions such
as tFLOW, eDocBuilder, PrintJobManager as well as their Automated Workflow
Integrator, we are able to help our graphic communications customers position
themselves to efficiently and profitably handle a web-to-print job stream.”
TechNova has already installed Pressero at a
customer at the beginning of India’s fiscal year, which began in April. “This
is a commercial printer,” Samaddar says, “who has been under tremendous
pressure due to the vanishing volume of large traditional offset jobs. The
company, which serves the retail industry, has added digital printing to
address the need for shorter run lengths. Pressero now allows him to
efficiently support large retail customers as well as smaller retail
operations. Especially for larger retail customers, Pressero not only makes it
easier to submit and track print jobs, but also allows the retail customer to
track other vendors involved in complicated projects such as new store openings
or launching promotions across several stores.”
Samaddar notes that another key selling point was
the speed with which new customer web sites can be implemented using Pressero.
“Implementation is blazing fast,” he says. “The software is flexible, fully
featured and easy to customize. For more complex customizations, Aleyant has a
giant team of developers, many of whom are here in India, who are willing to do
the things you want in a timeframe you can’t believe is possible. When we
present Pressero to customers, we want to give them a personalized experience.
We want them to understand how easy it is to customize Pressero to give their
customers the kind of unique experience they want them to have. Because we can
rapidly get a prototype site up and running, our sales presentations are much
more impactful. As a result, we are getting a very positive reception as we
show the Aleyant solutions to our base.”
According to Samaddar, while his company offers a
very broad portfolio, web-to-print and automation are the next level for many
Indian companies in the graphic communications industry. “It’s the glue that
binds,” he remarks, “and truly positions us as a total solutions provider. Five
years ago, a robust, unified workflow was the glue. But today, it is the
storefront and automation. We tell people, ‘Let’s connect your customers with
you; let’s bridge that last mile.’ Now we have an even more compelling story,
what we like to call hyper hybridization, because we are able to help them
integrate across their entire platform, whether it be offset, digital, wide
format or a combination of all of them. And they can do this very affordably
without the need for a large capital outlay via Aleyant’s reasonable
subscription model.”
Samaddar adds, “For most of our 40-year history, we
have brought change to the Indian graphic communications market, from changing
the offset plate landscape in India, to encouraging adoption of digital
printing to address changing market needs, and now connecting that last mile
between the customer and the print service provider. We are very excited to
bring these solutions to our customers across the country and are delighted
with the quality of the solutions and the support we receive from Aleyant.”
