Experts from Diageo, Design Bridge, Free the Birds,
Hello Day and GSK are just some of the major packaging influencers, designers
and international brands taking part in the Pentawards Conference at Packaging
Innovations and Luxury Packaging London 2018.
The high-level, design-focused conference entitled
‘Winning Mentality’ takes place on the 12 & 13 September at London’s
Olympia. The leading brands taking to the stage will draw on the very latest
thinking, design trends, real-life examples and current news agenda to educate
those in attendance on how to become a winner within packaging design.
In a major coup for the show, the keynote session
will be hosted by Jeremy Lindley, Global Design Director at Diageo. Jeremy is
responsible for design across the entire Diageo brand and its new products
worldwide. As the world's leading premium drinks business, Jeremy works with
major brands on a daily basis, including Johnnie Walker, J&B, Smirnoff,
Baileys, Captain Morgan, Tanqueray and Guinness, to name just a few. Part of
Jeremy’s talk will be discussing his role in transforming Diageo’s design
capability and output, touching on how to connect on an emotional level with
consumers, yet consistently deliver the highest standard of ideas and
execution.
Also forming part of the elite Pentawards
Conference lineup is Emma Follett, Deputy Creative Officer at DesignBridge.
Emma is responsible for upholding the creative reputation across all the
DesignBridge Studios and will share her personal experience from working with
small local brands through to multinational corporations like Diageo and
Unilever.
Nick Vaus is Lead Partner and Creative Director at
Free the Birds, a brand communications and design agency that is responsible
for its creative inspiration, concepts, execution and development. Nick focuses
on the issues and challenges that hold brands back, working alongside them to
overcome them through smart, beautiful design. Nick will talk about his
first-hand experience of working with some of the world’s biggest beauty,
healthcare and lifestyle clients, such as P&G, Bayer, Coty, Sanofi, Boots
and Marks & Spencer.
The Pentawards Conference gives designers an
opportunity to learn from award-winning designers and brands such as double
Pentawards winner Hello Day. Hello Day is a unique range of healthcare and
wellbeing supplements available as a seasonal box, supported by a lifestyle
app. Each seasonal box contains four food supplements, formulated to help
balance vitality, reduce fatigue, activate circulation, and aid digestion.
Sebastian Rumpler, CEO and Founder at Hello Day will share his brand’s
experiences and the role packaging is playing in the brand’s success.
The Pentawards Conference roster also includes
Jamie Stone, Chief Design Officer at PA Consulting. Jamie will be focusing on
his work with GlaxoSmithKline, where he had overall responsibility for all
creative strategy and output in 3D Structural Design, Technical Design, Branded
Package Design, BTL and In-Store Activation for its Nutrition portfolio. In
addition to The Pentawards Conference, those looking for world-beating design
inspiration will be able to get hands-on with the world’s best designed
packaging at The Pentawards Exhibit.
