Haney launches commercial packaging division, Haney Digital

Haney is expanding its digital printing and packaging capabilities with the launch of Haney Digital. Building on 30 years of heritage and passion for brand package innovation and realization, Haney Digital delivers digital printing, laminating, and converting for short-run commercial flexible packaging applications to the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.

As the Packaging Microfactory™, Haney provides CPGs a one-stop-shop for the informed prototyping, printing, and copacking of consumer usable samples for FDA regulated products. As Scott Whitehouse, VP of Client Services for Haney Digital explains, developing a commercial printing capability is a logical extension of the Microfactory concept. “Adding Haney Digital to an already stellar suite of services that Haney has offered to CPG and Agency partners for decades will truly round out Haney’s portfolio and enable our clients to have access to the ultimate packaging toolbox.”

Haney Digital’s offerings include printed and/or laminated roll stock for VFFS and HFFS machine applications, printed and laminated pre-made stand-up pouches with fitment options, and lamination for printed and/or unprinted flexible packaging applications. A complete list of printing and packaging capabilities can be found on the new Haney Digital website, www.haneydigital.com.

As an early adopter of digital printing technology, Haney boasts a wide array of commercial production capabilities including the HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press. The 20000, outfitted with HP’s SmartStream Mosaic and variable data technology, provides a range of new possibilities with mass-customization and personalization. In combination with the 20000 Digital Press, Haney’s assets include prepress & proofing systems, the HP Indigo 4500 Digital Press, Nordmeccanica solventless laminator, and a range of slitting, finishing & converting capabilities. Complementing its digital print capabilities, Haney also holds flexographic investments in house, including an 8-station Comco Proglide MSP Flexographic printing press.

Furthermore, CPGs working with Haney Digital will have access to the VIA Alliance™ packaging materials and technologies library. This resource of 50+ raw materials suppliers of the packaging industry enables brands to infuse new, innovative, and sustainable technologies into their brand packaging initiatives.

“We continue to build on our strong CPG heritage to grow our brand package innovation to commercialization offering,” explains Dan Haney, Co-Founder, and President of Haney. “This new commercial capability adds to our packaging powerhouse by enabling our clients to fully leverage the power of their brand packaging for retail, and direct to consumer channels, while providing blazing speed to market, agility, and sustainability, with one-stop-shop convenience.”
