Nowadays, to ensure job accuracy
especially for pharmaceutical products, pre-press studios have to perform
quality controls. To streamline inspection processes, EyeC and Hybrid Software
have recently launched the EyeC Driver, a new application that integrates
EyeC’s state-of-the-art PDF proofing technology - the EyeC Proofiler Graphic - into Hybrid Software's CloudFlow.
With the EyeC Driver, pre-press
studios reduce the time, effort and money spent on quality controls. The
integration triggers inspection procedures within the CloudFlow automatically,
retrieving job data, files and inspection parameters from the workflow system.
Pre-press files are inspected and released automatically if they match the
approved artwork. Pre-press operators only have to intervene when deviations
are detected. A task appears in their workspace that opens the EyeC Proofiler
Graphic for an easy review of discrepancies.
The EyeC software verifies the
entire content of pre-press files against the approved artwork. Text, graphics,
Braille, 1D and 2D codes are checked in a single inspection cycle. Users can
create as many inspection procedures as needed to compare, for instance,
pre-press files against customer files, one-up against step-and-repeat files or
different versions of a file. They follow consistent control procedures without
manual intervention.
“We are glad to integrate our
proofing technology into CloudFlow to combine top inspection capabilities with
modern workflow processes,” Dr. Ansgar Kaupp, CEO of EyeC GmbH, explains.
Christopher Graf, Chief Marketing Officer of Hybrid Software adds: “At Hybrid Software, the focus is always on automation and efficiency. Therefore, we are
pleased to have developed with EyeC an application that streamlines quality
controls and boosts security.”
