Given
the grave concerns over everyone impacted by coronavirus, Reedexpo has also
decided to postpone its twin shows PackPlus South and PrintFair want to December 2020 which was due to take place on 20-22 March in Hyderabad.
“Expressing
our concern for everyone impacted by coronavirus, like all of you, we have
carefully monitored the global health crisis related to COVID-19 coronavirus.
Our top priority is the health and safety of everyone involved in PackPlus
South 2020 and PrintFair 2020; employees, customers and exhibitors. Also due to
the uncertainty in the region and around the world, and after consultation with
all our stakeholders, the venue management, supporting associations, and in
alignment with the advice from the Indian public health authorities regarding
travel to and from impacted countries, we have taken the decision to postpone
our event which was due to take place on 20-22 March in Hyderabad. PackPlus
South & PrintFair is now scheduled for 18-20 December 2020 at HITEX
Exhibition Center in Hyderabad,” says Prateek Kaushik.
“This
is not a decision that has been taken lightly. We fully understand and
appreciate the level of planning that is required to participate in an event
like ours. Regrettably, the COVID-19 outbreak and related travel and commercial
restrictions make those preparations too difficult to hold the show as planned
in March. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause. We are
grateful to our customers for all their support and constructive input during
this challenging period,” added Prateek Kaushik.
"Leading
up to the December event, we will continue to serve the PackPlus and PrintFair community
and we are preparing a number of solutions aiming to provide customized
services to participants and further maximize successful outcomes at the
December event. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and remain in
close contact with all PackPlus South and PrintFair stakeholders in the coming
weeks. Our thoughts are with all those affected in these difficult times,” concluded
Prateek.
